Join us on May 31, 2014 at Cosmo Park in Columbia, MO for Makayla's Rainbow Run/Walk - a family 5K Run/Walk event to support Makayla for her future surgeries and many trips to Cincinnati Children's Hospital!  We will also be having sand volleyball (register here), raffle drawing (purchase tickets here), and food and entertainment.  To find out more about Makayla and her family here or visit the photo gallery for Makayla's story in pictures.  

 

When? Where? What time?

When: May 31, 2014

Where: Dexheimer Pavilion, Cosmo Park in Columbia, MO (see this map (#24) for more information)

What time: Registration will begin at 9:30am and will end 10 minutes before the race begins.  The race starts at 11:00am for runners, 11:15am for walkers, and 11:30am for families with children.

 

How to Register

You can register before the race by clicking on the "Register NOW!" button above, or you can register the day of the race.  Registration the day of the race begins at 9:30am at the Dexheimer Pavilion in Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO.  Registration will end 10 minutes before the race begins.

 

Registration Fees

• Ages 18+: $35

• Ages 5-18: $15

• Children 4 and under: $0 (free)

Included in the registration fee is a T-shirt and race bib, which will be available for pick up the day of the race (from 9:30am to 10:50am or the day before (May 29th) at Columbia College (details TBA). 

 

Race Theme

Since Makayla's 1st birthday will be only 8 days later and is in a rainbow theme, it only seemed appropriate that the race also be in a rainbow theme (hence the name Makayla's Rainbow Run). It is not required, but if you would like to dress in bright rainbow colors to match the race theme. You are more than welcome to! :-)

 

What to do in case of bad weather...

If it is just raining, the race will go on.  If the weather is worse, we will postpone to a later date, which will be announced at that time.  Watch the Facebook event page for notices.
